Snowflake making at The Columbia Library with LCR's Community Outreach Coordinator, Lauren! Lauren brought in a crafty class for local homeschoolers! She reviewed a couple recycling and upcycling books with them. Then they got to utilize our overstock of donated plastic beads to create a snowflake - just as unique and individual as themselves.

Check out our Educational Outreach team, Supina Arielle and Nancy with Director Susan Zeran, teaching K-5 students of the Kelly School in Elizabethtown, simple hand sewing techniques. Each student got to make their own festive, plushy pumpkin. Each student also got a mini sewing kit to take with them. Now they know how to sew hems and holes and patches - to help REpair and REuse! One student told us he can't wait to sew up a hole in his teddy bear.
